The fundamental aspect of art lies in the inward probing into souls. Only through self-examinations that are mostly concrete but sometimes illusionary, and clashes with perceived worlds, surroundings or lives within, will the interwoven of the sophistic ated and simple lead to the unveiling of a true imagery (or substantiality, reality, truth, honesty). And such imagery, (or substantiality, reality, truth, honesty) is what the Department of Communications Design at Shih-Chien craves to convey.
藝術的基底，對內，是一種自我生命的深層觸碰。藉由自我似實亦虛的剝離過程，與外界的生命、環境衝撞，歷經內外混沌後的交融，才能發現全新的真實。此種真實，正是實踐大學媒體傳達設計學系所欲傳遞的設計創作之精神。
