概念藝術設計

Addressing issues between reality and fiction, from the past to future(s), across culture and nature, creative professionals work with content and form through different concepts, ideas and philosophies as a means to intervene in the status quo. As distinct from art/design history lectures, this course aims to (re)visit an array of conceptual works in contemporary art and design and thereby encourage the students to generate, organize and theorize their burgeoning creative energy into solid art/design concepts. Students are expected to participate in weekly seminar discussions, creative writings as well as concept-driven design projects and learn how to position their own practice within contemporary creative spectrums while being able to articulate their distinct viewpoints, methods and significance.

介於現實與虛構之間、穿越歷史到未來、跨越文化自然界線的各種議題，創意專業人士通過不同的概念、思想和哲學來處理作品內容和形式，並以此作為干預現狀的手段。有別於藝術設計史講座，本課程將回顧當代藝術和設計中一系列概念作品，從而鼓勵學生激發創作能量並練習將其組織和理論化，進一步發展成具體的藝術/設計概念。學生將參與每週主題式課堂討論、創意寫作以及概念設計發想，藉此認知自身創作在當代設計/藝術光譜中的定位，進而練習闡述自己獨特的創作觀點、手法與重要性。
