當代影像論述

This course explores the influence of visual imagery in our contemporary media information-based society and the convergence of contemporary cultural studies and interdisciplinary arts. Lacan‘s writings serve as a primary source material for the discussion of a variety of forms of visual representation (photography, drawing, film, advertisements, etc.) and the relationship between media and contemporary culture and society.

探討在當代資訊媒體社會裏，影像所展現其無遠弗屆的影響力，以及當代文化學科跨領域的匯聚所在。它不止於物質平面，更是多維度的象徵物；不僅被閱讀，也是論述的生產，甚至是論述如何被生產的介面。本課程特別強調記號學與拉岡（Lacan）精神分析理論的交叉運用，在以各種影像生產（攝影、繪畫、電影、廣告等等）為參照下，研讀相關的理論文本，研討影像的構成與當代社會及文化理論的內在聯繫。
