Concept art design is a design method generated by the visual design needs of foreign film and game industries. In recent years, it has often appeared in foreign media articles, and some books have begun to discuss it. This field is also becoming more and more independent into a specialized art, which is widely used in character design, scene design, weapon design, creature design and costume design in the entertainment industry such as movies and games. Concept art design generates shapes through a unique design process, and then completes the design with the basic knowledge of composition, color, anatomy and other aesthetics in traditional painting. The concept art design method enables creators to produce unique designs in a fast and labor-saving way.
